OUR BEGINNINGS
Sneakerama was founded in the Spring of 1978 by Louis, Helen and Steve Genatossio. It was one of the first all-athletic shoe stores in Massachusetts at a time when people thought you were crazy to sell athletic shoes and not dress shoes or sporting goods. From our humble beginnings of selling unboxed Converse All-Stars tied together and put in bins by size, Sneakerama has become a destination location for the finest in specialty running shoes. The original premise was to open as a three-season store with shoes for the spring and summer, and then we started staying open for the fall for back-to-school gym shoes, and soon into winter for Christmas. We then realized that there was a true need for a year-round specialty shoe store. Through three generations , our fiercely independent family-owned business continues to grow and thrive with price, quality and service as our goal!

Our family-owned business is committed to providing the highest quality products, personalized service and great prices. We start by making sure your foot is measured correctly; both length and width are key for a perfect fit. For over 40 years we have been sitting down with people and listening to their special needs. Our Staff works with some of New England’s finest podiatrists, physical therapists and chiropractors.
